Hi all

I have a really confusing problem on my AppleTV.

To cut a long story short... it would appear that the Netflix app on my appleTV 4K is only putting out sound in stereo 2.0 and not the Dolby 5.1 it says that it is.

Ive done a bit of research and this seems to have been encountered by others before but its seen as just a glitch which can be overcome by either changing language momentarily, or restarting the AppleTV, or the Netflix app. Also this seems to have been a problem a couple of years ago but supposedly long since fixed in a software update from Netflix.... However, that said, none of these solutions work in my case at all.

Its very weird as all the other content on the AppleTV via other apps etc work fine and correctly output a 5.1 sound stream.

Has anyone else seen this.. and if so any fixes for it?

Any help gratefully received.

small update....
I tried deleting and reinstalling the Netflix app... no joy.
On entering the app, that Neflix 'chime' sounds terrible and flat and you know there is a problem immediately.

So weird the rest of the AppleTV is fine. Only Netflix has the audio issue.
