Netflix app won't let me see my email/password as I type... Is this normal?

Netflix app won't let me see my email/password as I type... Is this normal? The box is completely blank.

I ended up typing my email and password several times because I couldn't tell what I was typing. Finally got it right and logged in.

installed Hulu today and it has the same problem.

the user name and password boxes were box blank as I type.... had to guess what I just typed.

No, that's not normal. I can see the full email address and the last character of my password.
