The Netflix app supports streaming to a TV over the optional AV cable on an iPad. The Netflix app does not support the streaming to a TV on a Touch even though it's the same app. Does anyone know if it's Netflix or Apple preventing the Touch streaming and if it will be enabled in the future ?

Not sure who is responsible for that. Either Apple doesn't allow it or Netflix didn't include the option when they were making the App.

However the apps are different. Each one was made specifically for the device.

It's a unified app, only the front end is really different.

Hmmm, my TVs are composite so the new Apple TV is not an option for Netflix streaming. I was hoping to use my Touch since the AV cable has a composite output.
