Apps Netflix flicker

Hi

For the past couple weeks I noticed that while watching Netflix on apple tv 4k it randomly flashes the entire screen black. It seems to happen with any shows .I experience the issue with HDR/SDR

I ran a test using my Sony tv Netflix app and it worked flawlessly.

Anyone experiencing this kind of issue ?

I ran some additional test
From apple tv --> amazon prime --> 4k content = no issue
From apple tv --> set video to 1080 --> Netflix doesn't flickers
From apple tv --> youtube --> 4k content = no issue

So I would believe my cable is ok and the issue is around netflix

I have remove/reinstalled Netflix on the apple tv , no luck

I’m getting this problem too. Seems to happen with tv shows at 50hz and not films at 24hz. For me it happens with Netflix and Stan (Australian service).

It’s like the Apple TV is outputting a few black frames or the color range is switching. My Sony TV doesn’t seem to resync or anything. No onscreen information pops up.

It doesn’t happen very often and seems a bit random. It’s very annoying though.

Did you ever work it out?
