Hi,

The Netflix app on my Apple TV has started to go buggy. I wondered if anyone's experiencing the same or knows how to fix it.

It randomly plays episodes in 2.1 rather than 5.1 surround sound. I can assure you my settings are all correct. Sometimes it does play 5.1, sometimes it will be playing 5.1 but if I pause and come back to the same episode the next day it will be in 2.1. If I switch to the app on my TV (which I don't like using because it's far more clunky), it will play correctly.

It also keeps saying I've signed out, sometimes after telling me this it will load as if I was always signed in, sometimes I need to enter my password. It's weird and annoying and I can't figure out what the issue is.

Any guesses/advice?

you've tried removing and re-installing the Netflix app?
(I'm assuming you're on a 4(hd) or 4K)

how are you verifying 2.1 vs 5.1?
what are you using for sound (TV speakers, Receiver, soundbar, etc)
how is your aTV hooked up? (wired to TV, wired to receiver)
