Netflix scam?

I got an email from netflix saying I've signed up to their streaming service. I have not. When I log in to the account they say I've signed up for it says it is being payed with via visa card, which I do not have. Am I being scammed in some way or is this just a mistake? I called visa and they told me there was nothing they could do if I didn't know the full card number. The only information of mine that was used is my email address. What gives here?

Someone typed the wrong address, no big deal. Let Netflix know, they will take care of it.
