I'm wondering if anybody els eis having this problem. All search function on Netflix quite a few days ago and nothing I can do will get it working again. If I go to Search the search pane remains empty no matter what I type in, and if I click down arrow on a movie listing to show the actors/director/etc the lis ton the left appears but nothing at all on the right. I have tried resetting the router, resetting the modem, changing from wifi to ethernet, but nothing helps.

EDIT: This is on the ATV3 in the living room, and it is on the latest sw 6.1.1. I also have an ATV2 in the bedroom on 6.0 and it works fine.

Yes, we're having the exact same issue. Netflix doesn't seem to know what we're talking about.

Were you able to resolve it?

We tried to:

1. Reboot the Apple TV (Microsoft method - CTRL-ALT-DEL),

2. Log out of Netflix and log back in.

Nothing works.

Look forward to any news you might have.

Thanks,

i agree with you,I hoped the recent Netflix updated icon meant that it was fixed but no luck.

Problem fixed! June 27, 2014

Out of frustration, I called Apple and the person I spoke to knew exactly how to fix it (it had happened to him as well). The Apple person said he called Netflix too and they were not able to help him and didn't know anything about this (Netflix was clueless) issue.

To fix the search issue he said to go into your Apple TV's settings: go into Settings...General....Reset...Restore.

You need to reload everything. Apparently, the new Netflix app messed things up.

This whole reset took about 20 minutes, but once we re-entered our WiFi and Netflix passwords, Search was working once again!!

Give this a try and see if it doesn't fix it for you.

Netflix search working fine on apple tv

Hi , No need to reset your Apple TV. It is very simple issue to solve

To solve the search issue of netflix on Apple TV just simply change your location
to say Australia and then back to USA again .

Settings>ITunes Store>location

Have fun:D

I tried this, but ran into a problem. It logs you out of Movies and TV Shows. Once you log back into one of those, search in Netflix is broken again.

UPDATE: the restore method worked for me, as well.

All I did was reset settings without the 20 minute download /restore and it worked fine.
