I've been looking for a good NAS / RAID solution for personal use in the home, and have come across this unit which looks far better than anything else I've been recommended so far. Has anyone any experience of using this or similar Netgear products with their Mac setup? What's it like to use - is it just like a network share on the desktop? What's the management interface like and how well does it work, how easy is it to use?

I'll probably start off with the unit that comes with 500GB hard drive in and then add a second 500GB when I can. Ultimately I would like to put in 1TB. I doubt I will have that much data for a while, but it's frightening how quickly hard drives fill up!

Thanks for any advice :)

Edit: Also, if I opt to buy the 'bring your own hard drives' version, what hard drives would you recommend in the 750GB-1TB range? I keep coming across customer reviews telling of failures which doesn't fill me with confidence, especially on names such as Seagate which I always thought were a good brand.
