netgear router password question

I've got a netgear wireless router hooked up to my dad's intel imac. how do i set a password for it?

On my Netgear router, you have to do something like this: type the IP address of the router (on the bottom of the router) into the address bar in Safari. It will then ask for a username (which by default is: admin) and a password (which by default is: password). Enter these and then it should come up with a special Netgear page in Safari. Somewhere on the left in the selection bar it should say password somewhere i think. Hope this helps.
