Netlix subtitles on Safari causing jumping

I'm trying to watch a movie on Netflix that has subtitles. But whenever the movie is fullscreen the image sort of jumps at the end of each subtitle. It's infuriating and incredibly distracting, yet it doesn't happen when not in full screen mode?

I've tried clearing my cookies, restarting my system, disabling all extensions. Nothing works.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
