I've been using NewsFire to read my news for a while now, and I love it. The problem is, it won't sync between my work and home computers, and I spend 20 minutes when I get home trying to figure out what I already read. Frankly, I started using RSS to save time, not waste it, and there's no indication from NewsFire's developer of any timeframe for implementing feed syncing of any sort.
I've been trying to use Google Reader, but there's a couple issues I've found: Firstly, there's no way to control when feeds are updated. Feeds will update in NewsFire hours before they update in GReader (Gizmodo in particular). Secondly, and as it's been said time and time again, incredibly for a Google product, there's no search. That's just silly to me.
I'm considering switching to a NetNewsWire + NewsGator setup...anybody out there using this? Is it worth the extra $30? How well does the feed syncing work? Or am I better off just sticking with Google Reader despite its issues?
