Straight forward question. Can I use System Image Utility to create a NetRestore image that I can boot from an external USB device, particularly a Samsung T3? I am trying to achieve the NetRestore end results without using MacOS server.
If this is not possible what would be the next best option to avoid a bootable installer which I already know how to do? The only other thing I can think of doing is doing a clean install on a machine and using a recovery partition to image its startup volume which can then be restored to a target machine through recovery.
EDIT: I should add that I am trying to accomplish this using all Apple tools. I don't care if I have to use some terminal tricks to bless boot files and the like, but I don't want to use say DeployStudio or anything like that.
