I am pretty annoyed right now. My PowerBook won't connect to Netscape dial up. I entered the dialing number, my account name, and password into Internet Connect, and when I click "Connect", it dials, then says "Authenticating" then says "Disconnecting" and then it comes up with an alert box that says "Authentication failed."

What do I do?

AOL killed netscape back in February. Have you not tried signing on in a while? I quit my AOL dial up subscription a few months ago. Now I steal my neighbor's wireless with a B card.

Good luck.

Heys. Turns out I entered the wrong password. That was the problem. :/

Thanks

The "jokes" in the thread do express a valid concern. Dialup is more or less dead in most areas unless you live in a very rural area.

Check into "naked" DSL services from providers like at&t. These packages can cost the same as dialup in some cases and provide speeds at 3x ISDN or faster.
