Can anybody confirm or deny if NetShare is still functioning correctly with the new 3.0 OS update?

if it's a feature with the iphone, wouldn't At&t charge you an extra monthly charge for it?

The link provided sets the tethering APN settings to the same APN settings for regular network traffic on the iPhone.

AT&T doesn't know the difference.
I totally made that up, but there's nothing to worry about.

As if we had free tethering in the USA. As if AT&T even allows it right now.

I have Netshare but I'm not upgrading to 3.0 till the Jailbreak comes out.

EDIT: Well Cr*p! My bad.

Installed and now working.

Iphone 3G (not S) 3.0

OK, so what did you do other than click the link and let it install to make the "tethering" option show up?

This is ridiculous that several of you are saying how easy it is, but are unwilling to tell anyone what you have done to make it work!

follow the link on your iphone and install the settings.

Once installed come back to the home screen. Go to settings > General > Network and turn on tethering! Easy :D

i'm having the same problem with the not having the option to turn on the tethering. i followed the simple directions and still i can't get it to work.

follow the link on your iphone and install the settings.

Once installed come back to the home screen. Go to settings > General > Network and turn on tethering! Easy :D

I've tried that and still no luck, but thank you for trying to help.

Am I missing something? I am in the USA with an iPhone 3g running OS 3.0. I do not have netshare, do I need to have it installed for the tethering to work? Any help is appreciative.
