Network Activity Icon on Homepage

Since upgrading to iOS 7.1, I've noticed I get the Network Activity Icon on my homepage a lot. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm on WiFi or 4G. The Network Activity Icon disappears when I open an App, but comes back when I'm in the homepage. Anyone know what this activity is from? I never had this with iOS 6.

UPDATE: I ended up restarting my iPhone and the Network Activity Icon went away.
