Network Articles, Books, ect?

Hi there....I have a G5, Win2k and a PowerBook 15" 1ghz in my office and a Dual G4 500 at home. I have a DSL line with two static IP addresses running into the office and a DSL line with one static IP running to my house. At minimum, I'd like to somehow network the machines at the office so I can at least stop using my PowerBook as a target disc at work. It would be super sweet if I could connect my home and office machines. Any books, articles or advice is much appreciated....I have not much of a clue how to do any of this. Thanks!
