Hi everyone,
The new office policy dictates that every computer must automatically backup to a new Windows fileserver, which is fine by me. So, the IT tech installed a backup app. called Acronis Backup & Recovery on all the Windows PC's, and wanted to install an app. called SilverKeeper on my Mac. I looked it up and it turns out it's made by LaCie, but it looks terribly outdated (just check out the 'Go' button, ouch) and some quick googling revealed that some people are having problems with 10.6, which is something I don't want with my backups ...
My first thought was to use TimeMachine with the hack that allows it to work with any network share, however it appears to be not as reliable as it is with native AFP protocol, which again is of course a Bad Thing.
So here I ask, what are you guys using for your network backups ?
Cheers !
