Dear members,
not sure if this is a hardware issue but,
about 2 to 3 months ago, my ethernet stopped working on my iMac. Since then i've been using WiFi. The last 3 days I have connected the same ethernet cable to my macbook pro and man, what a speed difference! I can get up to 50mb/ps with ethernet instead of 5mb/ps (maximum 20, but this happens rarely) with my ****** WiFi.
I really like to solve this problem now.
My specs:
- iMac mid 2011, 3.4GHz i7, 20GB Ram, OS X 10.8.1
- Linksys wireless n-router WRT120N
What I know till now:
- It's not the ethernet cable, because it works fine on my MBP.
Anyone, any suggestions? Much appreciated.
