Hi all,
So I noticed something today and it might be completely coincidental.
I have a VM running in Fusion and within this VM is my company's VPN application that uses VM NAT to run off the Mac's network connection. Well, when I open up Microsoft Outlook in the VM while it is connected to the Mac, I noticed Outlook disconnects/loses connection with my company's Exchange server within the first minute. At the same time, the left side of my computer is running hot (which I understand is normal temp) due to multiple applications I have running. I also have my Ethernet cable plugged in as well.
I decided to experiment. I unplugged the Ethernet cable, enabled AirPort, fired up my VM, executed the VPN program within the VM, fired up Outlook, and wouldn't you know it, no disconnections from my company's VPN.
So two questions: Does anyone else notice network connectivity issues when their computer is running hot and the Ethernet cable is plugged in?
And two, is this something I should bring in under warranty to get fixed (the network card?)?
Thoughts, comments?
