Network computers are not displayed

Hello,

I'm having trouble seeing my network in finder. It's hit and miss and I have no idea how to resolve this. I'm running mac os x 10.4.11, macbook 2 ghz intel core duo if that makes a difference. I was able to see my network one day, and then restarted my mac and it just kinda disappeared.

any help would be appreciated.
