network doesn't come when deselect 3g enable option

i am using iphone 3gs
ios 5.1.1
baseband 5.13.04

i have jailbroken ad unlocked my iphone. but when i select enable 3g off then network displays no service in edge and normal.

so i have to stay all the time in bad 3g network, i mean in places it doesn't works,

when i select 3g enable off then network says no service and doesn't come back till i don't select 3g enable on

any help is truely appreciated.

i have attached my 3 photos which says that signal only comes when 3g is enabled
