Right now I have a PBG4 1.5Ghz connected to my Netgear WGR614 v.6 and the network works fine. It has 4 Lan Ports in the back. Now for the problem...and let me start off by saying I'm not the most knowledgeable regarding networking.
My Direct TV is in the living room connected to the only coax cable line, which goes to the satellite dish. I'd like to connect my Direct TV, Blu-Ray player, and TV to the internet. All have Ethernet ports, but I can't put my router there without running a coax cable across the room to connect the router to the modem, something I refuse to do.
Is there a wireless access point / repeater or something that I can buy to plug all my AV gear into that can connect to my wireless network? In turn this wireless access point / repeater would only have the power cord running out of it, completely wirelessly connected to my primary router (I can buy a new one if needed). Are the Apple Airport Extreme / Express / or any other models able to do this? Thanks for all your help! This has been bugging me for quite some time!
