Network Icon not showing on finder left menu

Why won't my Network Icon show on the finder's left side menu as it used to? Now I need to go to Go to server and it still will not connect to any networks?? I'm am however connected to the internet wirelessly .
Confused...maybe I unclicked something on the System preferences?

You may have accidentally dragged it out of the menu. To get it back, go to your HD folder and just drag it back in.
