I have a strange issue with my 2016 MBP with Touchbar which has occured a few times recently, so thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has experienced it.

Occasionally my network connection drops and internet pages will not load. The menu bar says wi-fi is connected, but regardless of whether I toggle it on or off, in Network Preferences it is blank, not even Ethernet is showing (it's like my "network card" has vanished.)

I then try to reboot, but after a minute or so I get a black screen with white dots, and the only way to exit is holding down the power button. When turned back on, it works perfectly again for a few weeks, until the next time it happens.

I am running Big Sur 11.5.2 and from memory this has happed half a dozen times over the last few months (so definitely since Bug sur was installed.) The exact spec of my 2016 MBP is in my signature. Has anyone else had this issue or know what the cause may be?

Unsure of what the cause might be (perhaps a corrupted OS? Try a reinstall..); however, have you tried an SMC and PRAM reset?
