Hello.
im using a network in my college to get to the internet.
How can i secure my mac and put a password so others cant get to my mac??

Thanks

First of all, your user account already has a password. To my knowledge, it doesn't work without one.

Second, you would actually have to have services exposed for people to be able to "get to" your Mac. Do you have SSH enabled? VNC/Remote Destop? Web server? If you haven't turned them on, then probably not.

Go into the "System Preferences" (Application) "Sharing" options and make sure that you have an active firewall and that you turn off all of the services that you won't need to use any time soon.
