Network Preferences Not Loading

Hi I'm quite new here so forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place.

I'm on 10.6 and I just realized my Network Preferences doesn't open.

When I click Network in System Preferences, or "Open Network Preferences" from the Airport Icon it just goes to the System Preferences Window with the text "Loading Network..."

Anyone else had this problem?
