I just bought the Brother DCP-7065DN.

It is plugged to my network and has a valid IP address.

I downloaded the up-to-date drivers from Brother's website and installed them.

The scanner works fine.
However, I cannot seem to be able to configure the printer.

I am going to Settings, Printers, but when I want to add it, it's not there.
If I enter the IP address, it seems to find it but installation never completes.

Am I doing something wrong? I am new to the Mac world so that could very well be the case.

PS: I can see the printer on my Windows laptop, no problem.

Thanks in advance,

OV

As suggested somewhere, I plugged the printer directly through USB and it works fine.
Plugged back to the network, and still not working

I finally got it to work.

Man that was not intuitive.

I had to go to the CUPS homepage and configure it from there.

All is good now :)
