Network printer problem

I have an old HP Laser Jet 2100TN hooked up with ethernet to a switch and it prints fine from my XP computer but not from my Leopard iMac. It shows up fine as B00149.

When I print, it spits out loads of blank pages and one page with the following:

userdict (\004)cvn{}put
%%?BeginFeatureQuery: 8?HPOption_Tra

How do I get this printer to work from the iMac please?

Have you tried setting up the printer?

I don't have a 2100tn... The driver in OS X is for postscript printers (that's postscript you see printing), but I think the postscript card was optional. You can try using the HP Laserjet 6 Gimp-print/Gutenprint driver to see if I'm right.
