I have a netgear router.

Setup:
Cable Modem>Netgear Router>1PC&1Mac.

I noticed last week that the DL speeds on my PC were VERY slow. I normaly get 200K-300K DL and 30K UL. On www.DSLReports.com

On my Mac I get the same speeds I always do about 1.7 mbits down and 30K up.

On my PC I get very bad Download but the same UL (30K). Results

What could it be?

I have tried everything! I set my pc to the same settings on the mac, nothing.

Auto Configure, No change.

Bypass the router, the ****ing thing won't even connect.

I have updated the firmware on the router. No change.

It must be the PC or router, Right?

Thanks!

It is either a duplex mismatch between your switch and pc, or more likely, you have a virus/worm on your pc and it is causing alot of problems on you network.

Thanks peterjhill!

No it's not a virus, just ran norton, and nothing.

How do I fix a "duplex mismatch?"

It's only the DL speed that is being affected. Upload is fine.

I fixed it?! I ran a DSLReports tweak test, some PC Registry key was messed up, I a app called DR.TCP and it fixed it. I hate Windows XP! Thanks.
