"Network Settings Lost"

Ever since I updated my 3GS to IOS 4 I have had this message appear more and more frequently. I thought once I updated to 4.1 that might be sorted but no :( still getting it.
This is now happening AT LEAST ten times a day and I lose all signal. It comes back a short time later, but inevitably it happens at the worst possible times.

Anyone have an idea or do i make an appointment at genius bar?
