Network setup for 3 macs

Hello,

I have 1 Macpro 1,1(System 10.6.8) and 2 Macpro 3,1's (OSXYosemite). I want to be able to string them together to use as a renderfarm but am not sure what I need for equipment. I have a cable modem with 4 ethernet connections. Do I need another router or a switch? Basically what is the simplest/easiest/cheapest way to get them to network?

Any help would be appreciated,
