Hi,

This is driving me around the bend so would appreciate any help.

I have my 2012 cMBP networked via a wireless router to a PC running Windows 7. However, since the update to 10.8.5, my mac is unable to connect to the PC.

The PC's name shows up under 'Shared' in the left side pane in Finder, but when I click on it, it says 'Connection Failed'. If I try and connect via 'Connect to Server' under the 'Go' menu, it proceeds to the 'Connect as Guest or Registered User' but if I connect as Guest or Registered User the box just shakes, like if you put in a wrong password - there is no password needed.

I have used a different Windows laptop and it connects to the PC as it used too, so I don't believe there is anything wrong with the PC's set up.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

If connects to one Windows computer but not another, then logic dictates that the problem lies with the Windows computer that refuses to connect.
