Just wondering how to configure the Time Capsule & my network to allow one printer to be shared wirelessly by my MacBook Pro and by my iMac via ethernet.
So I've got a MBPro that recognizes the printer and can print wirelessly. The printer is connected to the USB port of the TC. My iMac is wired to the TC since its right beside it but it doesn't recognize my HP Photosmart printer as being online. Shouldn't the TC be able to handle the iMac printing internally since the iMac is connected t the internet just fine by the cable?
I'm thinking it might require some kind of setup w/ the network to allow printer sharing possibly.....but have no idea how to set up the network. That said, I don't really see the need to set up a network if both machines are already communicating w/ the TC....although the wireless connection is noticeably slower than the hard wired connection.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
