I just upgraded from os X 10.10 to 10.11. Under 10.10 network access was fine i used smb://IPorName to get to any one of 3 network shares. I have had no problems with the network, or access to it or the speed of file transfers. 1000baseT i transferred something like 80Gb in just over an hour. i upgrade to 10.11 on Tuesday. Ever sense i have gotten horrible speeds. it just took me 20min to transfer 4GB. it took 5 hours to transfer 23GB. Access to individual files is slow. opening a file takes minutes not seconds. I am probably going to revert to a backup but before i did i wanted to ideas to help in fixing this. All the research that i have found talks about this issue in mavericks and that it is fixed in El Capo. I tried using cifs:// to connect to the server. That seemed like it did a little but seemed to speed up a little. Connected via smb and copied 4.73Gb of files. It said it would take 50 min. I canceled that and disconnected and then connected with cifs:// and tried to copy the same files. It said it was going to take 6 minutes, a 3rd of the way though the transfer it was up to 10 minutes. It took almost 20 min. to complete the transfer.

Does anyone else have any suggestions on possible fixes for this issue before i start a restore?
