Hi there,
The speed of my network connection does not top 4Mbp/s. The windows computer that is also in this network gets 300Mbp/s. I checked the speed with istat.
I can't imagine this is the top speed of this mac, but i don't know how to change the settings to get more out of it.
Any suggestions appreciated.

What network interface (Ethernet ow wireless) are you using with what MacBook exactly?

If it is wireless, hold down the OPTION key while clicking the AirPort Menu Bar icon and tell us what it says for:
PHY Mode
Channel
RSSI
Transmit Rate
