Hi,
I was recently gifted an old iMac (it's running 10.3.9) by a friend of mine and am having problems entering in to the Network Preferences menu.
The friend who I acquired the Mac off rarely, if ever, connected to the internet so while I was waiting for a wireless dongle to arrive I plugged it directly in to my modem to install any updates. I think it come up with roughly 5 or 6 security updates which, bar one, went in no problem.
Anyway, my wireless dongle arrived and I installed all the drivers but for some reason now I can not open the Network Preferences menu. I have tried to access it via Safari but that just causes System Preferences to unexpectedly quit.
This is my first Mac, and although it is old I would love to get it running and cast off the shackles of PC.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ritch
