I'm having some problems with programs connecting to the wireless internet on my MacBook. I've tried at two locations, so I am pretty sure it has to do with my computer. Connecting to an ethernet cable solves the problem.
I can connect to wireless internet and run AIM, Firefox, and Thunderbird without any problems. But when I try to run a livejournal client, it times out on login. Also, with iTunes, I cannot update podcasts or connect to the iTMS. Software update also doesn't work, nor does Safari. They all seem to be timeout errors...software update says, "A networking error has occurred: timed out (-1001)."
To me the weirdest thing is that Firefox works but Safari doesn't, and yet they're both browsers.
This is weird since AIM, Firefox, and Thunderbird can access the internet. Is there a setting I can check for this?
