Anyone know if there's any particular reason that most apps can't seem to recover from a network transition? I walk my dog a lot, and so I start playing something when I leave home (pandora, simplify, lastfm, AOL Radio, etc..). A little ways away I transition from WiFi to 3G, and I always have to restart the app. Is there a technical reason why the apps don't handle this very well, or does they just stop trying when network flow is interrupted?

I don't mind the interruption (since it is completely changing networks), but I wish they recovered on their own.
