I tether my iPhone due to my building's cable wiring being under renovation. Last month I used 2.3GB total according to the AT&T web site, 933MB of which appears to have been used "legitimately" by my iPhone according to the Settings. And I've restored a bunch of times.
I read somewhere that AT&T doesn't pay heed until you cross over 5GB, but who knows really. If they terminate my contract I can still sell this phone and head for duller but more reliable pastures.

I've been using my iPhone 3G since launch day with no restores.![]()
ditto, only because I left my Tversity server on the default settings, which streamed everything at 96k. not to mention the constant playing with it for the first month.
I don't believe 5 gigs is possible without tethering and downloading 'teh pr0n'
How?
Pandora.
Plus, the network wasn't absolute garbage back then.
This bill cycle (11 days left) I've used about 800 megs because the network sucks balls.
Streaming at 96k/second * 60 seconds/ minute * 60 minutes/hour * 24 hours/day * 30 days/month is still only a gig and change.

I see most of you are on Edge and not 3G i'm guessing this is by choice.. how much does this actually improve your battery life and when do you use 3G mostly..?
4 gigs of Pandora in a month? Seems rather high ....
