Have any of you guys tried using iMovie 08 and having the home folder on a network server? I am having some troubles. I keep all my movies on my laptop. I uploaded them to my users share and i would like to import my movies into iMovie, but it is not working. I keep getting an error 43. Anyway, anything you guys could help me with would be great! thanks

I too have this same problem. It seems to be an issue specific to network users. I've found similar issues with Garageband.

Apple says this: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1601

I say: create a folder in the root level of the local Mac HD titled "iMovie Events" and make sure those users you'd like to use iMovie have permission to write to it. Keep in mind that this means videos will be stored on the local machine and not the network account. This can be confusing to users who are using iMovie on multiple machines.
