State of Denial
Any app that uses a network connection (browsers, F@H, iTunes, iChat, etc.) has been having problems opening -- unless I'm on my AirPort connection. They open, but then I get the beachball for 2-3 minuted before responding. The strange thing is, it only happens on modem and Ethernet connections: my PPPoE over AirPort connection lets them open just fine.

Have you checked/changed your Locations? Zap the PRAM, maybe. It solved networking problems that were related to AirPort on one of my professors machines. Maybe it'll solve for everything else, in this case.

I keep each connection in a different network location, and I've made sure it's on the right one. I'll try the PRAM zap though.

Is the order of your ports within the Network Configuration tab set correctly? Is Ethernet listed above Airport?
