Does anyone have an idiots guide for how to network a macbook pro and an imac together ?

Both are running 10.67

I just cant get this working

If you have anything with a few ethernet ports in the back, like an ADSL / cable modem, or ethernet router, or Time Capsule or something like that, just plug them both in & they should 'see' each other.

If you have a wireless network, connect them both to that & they should see each other.

If you have no WiFi & one/both the Macs are not near your ethernet router / whatever, either get a Wifi hub or take a look at HomePlug networking (google Devolo)

Generally 'it should just work.'
When you say "I just cant get this working" what do you mean by that? Aliens stole your lunch money? Go on, give us a clue...
