Hi all, I apologize in advance if this has been discussed already, but I couldn't find anything relevant by searching.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience using the WD My Book World Edition hard drive. What I'm looking to do is use an external drive connected to my Airport Extreme (802.11n, 100MB ethernet) to keep my movies and TV shows on, as well as Time Machine backups.
My real question is, is there any point to buying one of these networked hard drives. Cost aside, is there any speed advantage versus buying a USB external hard drive and keeping it plugged into the Airport? Thanks much.
