Dear friends
I am planning to record in OBS studio using my M2 Macbook Air, while as same time I also want its OBS out[it as Virtual Camera to my M1 Mac mini which would be using MS Teams. This way I would be able to record my session on OBS on my macbook air m2 while simulatenously streaming it on the m1 mac mini using Teams. This way hopefully there will not be much load just one mac. The question is how can i connect these two macs via physical wires so that the virtual camera output from m2 macbook air can be brought in as camera input on m1 mac mini.
Many thanks and kind regards

Thanks for the reply, but how to take the output of one as virtual camera and input in the other. Does it need to tune and tweak any special settings

Unless you have an application that can access the other Mac's camera, I don't think you can do this. I don't know of any app that will do this.

You’d stream it with RTMP on the first Mac, and then use that as a source in OBS on the second Mac.

Thanks, but that process would degrade the video as streaming via first to somewhere on net and then catching that stream in OBS via internet wont serve the purpose. I am wondering around such a setup that m2 macbook air uses OBS studio where i set up my scene and cameras and use it to record the session, while the virtual camera output should be captured as a camera input in MS Teams on m1 mac mini. This way on the m1 mac mini I would be sharing the OBS output from m2 macbook air.

If you don't know how to capture RTMP streams, perhaps a Video Capture Card is what you need, not how to networking.
