I hope this is the appropriate place for this.... I am hoping to get a little networking help here, for a net with PC's and Macs...

I have Cable Modem coming into the house, with 4 Net ports.

This comes into my networking center, with patches for all over the house. I have One port from the modem into an 8 port router. This feeds direct connects to 2 NAS's, the media center (which uses the NAS's heavily), the guest room and my studio iMac. All DHCP for these devices are set from the cable modem, and are in the 192.168.0.1 series

OK, Port 2 from the cable modem goes to my phone. That is working fine.

Port 3 goes into the patch panel, and upstairs to a Netgear wireless N router. This is where I run my wireless net from. It also feeds my home office, a PC and iMac hard wired into the Netgear. This runs on a 192.168.1.1 system.

So I am guessing I have this set up wrong. I am trying to map my NAS's in my office, and while I can SEE them (if I navigate to 192.168.0.13), the DNS-323 setup system is not mapping them. I am guessing this is because the netgear upstairs should slave or whatever to the cable modems DHCP instead of running its own network (sorry, I am not an expert, I di not know the "right" words!)

So how should I set this all up? I am (obviously) not a networking type, and I do not know what I should be doing....
