Networking Problem...

Ok, I notice two things: I'm on a wireless network using a Linksys Router and whenever I put my computer to sleep, it can't connect to the internet any longer, AND I can't seem to configure my router with my web browser anymore (i.e. when I type in '192.168.1.1' it says 'Connection Refused') I'm going to test a few thigns out, but has anyone else had this problem?
 
Another thing, how do I take myself off DHCP and give myself a static IP without confusing the network anymore?
