I have a very frustrating problem networking my iMac to my PCs. The iMac often (most of the time) does not show the PCs on the network when I click on the Network icon in Finder. Conversely, the PCs always show the iMac and can connect to it. I cannot figure out why sometimes the Mac shows the PCs and sometimes it does not. Any advice on how to troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated.

Peace,
Brian

I have the exact same problem - I just use Connect to Server and type the smb:// URL to access my Windows PC. My PC sees my Mac just fine, and I can double-click on its icon to access files on it. I wish I knew why Panther won't see my PC in Network, too.
