I am on a campus network, and I'm having problems connecting to network volumes.
Actually, technically I can connect to the volumes just fine. But whenever I transfer files to or from them, while it's transferring, every 30 seconds (or so... sometimes longer, sometimes shorter) it tells me that "a server you are using is no longer available" and gives me the choice between "continue trying" to contact the server or disconnecting. After between 10-30 seconds the window disappears, or I sometimes press ok, only to have it appear again in about 30 seconds.
The other problem is that I create aliases for these volumes so I don't have to go to recent servers and input my username and password each time (aliases work with the keychain), which always works great the first time after I've restarted my computer, but if I unmount the volume and try the alias again, it can't find the server. I assume the alias thinks it's still connected or something? But is there some way around this?
Thanks so much for any help.
