Hi, a quick question about wireless networking.

Ive gone hough ..pfft...about 10 routers in 2 years, they keep dying getting hot and unreliable.

I have electrical heating panels in my ceilings (like a large metal mesh). Do you think this has anything to do with it? my macmini is directly above the router which has a large upgraded antennae pointing upwards and only gets 2 bars of signal. Id love to run a cable up, but cant because of the heating panels.

what would you suggest i do to either get better signal or whatever?
(i tried a wired ethernet through my home electrical circuit but it didnt work very well..SLOW).

thanks in advance for any tips

I'm confused.

Why would your ceiling affect your router? ...Is your router in your ceiling?

...Or do you have a two story house?
