I'm new to this whole mac thing, and I purchased my Macbook 2 weeks ago.

I'm trying to look at my Macbook through Vista, it sees it, but it's asking for a username/password.

I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do.

Also, how do I get my Macbook to see my Vista machine. I changed the Workgroup name, and it still doesn't work.

For username and password, I believe you just use your windows username and password. As to why it doesn't see your vista machine, for some reason on some macs it doesn't show at all, but make sure you have enabled network visibility under vista. That should do it.

It does'nt let me login if I don't have a password... hmmm

I'm confused :(

EDIT: I got it working... for username I put the Mac IP and the password my username :)
